Did Willie Revillame violated the Code of Ethics by asking to remove the inset funeral video of the Former President Cory Aquino?
Another political opinion, did Willie Revillame violated the Code of Ethics of the KBP (Kaspisanan ng Brodkaster ng Pilipinas) and MTRCB's (Movie and Television Review and Classification Board) Section 3 of PD 1986 as what MTRCB chair Consoliza Laguardia said?

This video starts with a lady contestant dancing. Then host of Wowowee, Willie Revillame at 0:40 said that:
As you can see, the inset video of Former President Cory Aquino's funeral was removed moments later after he asked to take it out.
“Sa sitwasyon na ito, kung may nasaktan ako, I'm sorry. Sa pamilya Aquino, alam ng buong pamilya Aquino [na] wala akong masamang intention doon. Ayaw ko pong nagsasaya tayo dito, mayroon tayong labi na nakikita sa TV," Revillame said a day after that incident happened.
He explained that as the host of a variety show (where guests play games and win money), it would have been hard for him to make his audience happy if Mrs. Aquino’s casket was simultaneously shown.
Two media organizations, the National Press Club and the Alyansa ng Filipinong Mamahayag (Afima), also expressed dismay over Revillame’s remark.
"He should be taught a lesson this time. This is a different case," said AFIMA president Jerry Yap.
"If he will not change his attitude I don’t think people should continue watching him," said NPC president Benny Antiporda.
The report said the MTRCB and the KBP will meet to discuss the possible actions against Revillame.
There is also an online petition, NO TO WILLIE, where it calls for the ouster of Willie Revillame in his own show Wowowee. "Was it really hard for him to be humble and human?" Roel Saguisag wrote in his petition, "Pres. Aquino taught us humility and Revillame is showing us the exact opposite."
For my opinion, Willie disrespected Former Cory Aquino. Even he can't concentrate to give joy and fun to his audience, I think that as a host, a showbiz personality and a comedian, the saying of "The show must go on" is still applicable. But, getting Willie Revillame out of the show is over. Maybe a sanction or penalty is justifiable.
My point is, what is the matter of having the inset video of the late Tita Cory in Willie's show? Willie must do his part "to give joy" to his audience and not be distracted about the video.
Also, maybe Willie loves the Former President Cory so much that he is hurt of her death.

Willie is becoming an arrogant a--hole, I never like this guy, he's not funny and I never watch his show.
ReplyDeleteWillie's head is getting bigger as his show's getting stronger. He already thinks that his powerfull enough not to respect Pres. Aquino's death because of the wealth that he have right now. May he learn to respect the person's death as will as the Aquino family. How sad on the part of ABS-CBN that the man they are paying for are the one scolding them. Iyang ilong!!!

ANo naman po ang mga opinion ng mga pulitiko/ Bakit walng umalma o nag comment? Kasi hindi nila masabihan si Willie o gumawa ng aksyon-dahil may vested interest sila . Samantalng ng lumabas ang video sex scandal, marami sa kanila nagcomment. Hay naku. Ano ang gagawin ng mga kinauukulan?
Maybe he shouldève asked off-air.
ReplyDeleteAs I've said I never like this guy, what a relief that I never bother to add TFC in my cable most of their programs are garbage anyway. As for Willie he will realize one day that he's no longer as popular (is he really?) as he thinks he is. Nothing last forever.
