Willie Revillame is on leave “indefinitely” in the wake of the controversy generated by his order to cut the simultaneous live broadcast of the procession of President Corazon Aquino's remains from his noontime show last August 3.

“Yes, naka-leave [siya]. From his (Revillame) own text [message] to me, indefinitely. Indefinitely, can be two days or three days,” Bong Osorio, head of ABS-CBN's corporate communications, told abs-cbnNEWS.com in a phone interview.

    It looks like Mr. Revillame was just emotionally disturbed because the aired funeral video is constantly reminding him of the late former president's death. I, as someone who just recently lost a loved one, know for a fact that it is indeed really difficult seeing someone you love dead. You can't think right, you can't do things right. The only thing lacking is for you to lock yourself in a room and never come out for a whole day.

    However, if you take out each of his words on the video, they do somehow seem to sound controversial. But I guess we'll never really know unless we knew what was in Mr. Revillame's thoughts at that very moment.

    It seemse very interesting but Willie Revillame didn't seem to have bad intentions. Maybe it's just his choice of words that seemed a bit harsh.

    It shows that Willie Revillame has no breeding meron man palingkero and disrespectful...he didn't realize that the station he is right now was return to the Lopez family after the democracy restored in the Philippines and who restored it? Cory Aquino that is and what is it a little consideration and respect to a person who had done a lot for the filipino people him included would just pay respect for the last time. Nothing last forever he will be dead someday and it would be a pity if a tv station will not even pay attention when he's gone. What comes around turn around.

Another political opinion, did Willie Revillame violated the Code of Ethics of the KBP (Kaspisanan ng Brodkaster ng Pilipinas) and MTRCB's (Movie and Television Review and Classification Board) Section 3 of PD 1986 as what MTRCB chair Consoliza Laguardia said? How did it started? This video starts with a lady contestant dancing. Then host of Wowowee, Willie Revillame at 0:40 said that: “Hay nako. Pangit. Hindi maganda ho sa atin nagsasalita pinapakita yung kabaong ni Tita Cory. Di ba? Paano kami magkakapagsaya nahihirapan kami? I'm sorry ho ah pero ako totoo ako eh. ‘Wag niyo akong papagalitan ... Democracy Icon and Former President Corazon Aquino Laid To Rest

Millions of Filipinos witnessed yesterday, Aug. 5, 2009, about nine hours of procession from the Manila Cathedral after the last Mass for her was held to the Manila Memorial Park where the democracy icon, a good mother and wife, a lady who's self-acclaimed to be just a "simple housewife", former President Corazon "Cory" Aquino laid to rest.
