200+ M "Undisclosed" Bank Account Scandal: Gravestone or Cornerstone?
Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte or is popularly known today as "Digong" is one of the five aspirants to become the next president of the Republic of the Philippines.
Last time, before the debate, he was hit by the rape joke but did apologize to it. Was waiting for the other remaining candidates to hit him very hard on the debate and will destroy him on the debate pertaining to that issue. But they didn't.
Now, after the rape joke, there is another scandal or (supporters might say) a propaganda. Senator Triallenes, in an "expose" bares Duterte's undeclared bank account. Roxas also challenged Digong about it.
Now, my question, will it affects Digong's rating? will it be the gravestone of his political career or the cornerstone of the DU30 era where others say that DU30 is somewhat prophetic Day of Unity May (5) 9, 20(16) = DU 5+9+16= 30 DU30 (wow, supporters have there own way of perceiving things and seeing things as sign or what they want to call it).
i was not writing a post for the past few days and was somewhat studying the style of Digong. Initially, i was telling my self that "oh, it's the end of Duterte's polirtical life!" but, i'm thinking of his patterns and moves, let me share to you my opinon about this matter.
Well, first, others may know that before he was a mayor, he was a Prosecutor in Davao. Now, it was known that he had challenged other candidates to sign a waiver for transparency specially their bank accounts. Did he ever missed that bank account? Did he forgot that he had that account in the bank that has millions in it? or he knows about it and is using it as a pawn for others?
I'll go for the latter. why? Digong's "kinanto" character (as the visayan dialect has it) and shrewdness makes me think that he didn't forget it and is using it as a pawn.
Why? because he knows that others will dig dirt and in the process of digging dirt, they will use that dirt and throw it in his face. But, in that process of digging also, they are also "digging their own graveyard".
Think of what Digong is doing right now? He said he will not sign the waiver if Trillanes will not sign an affidavit. Typical of an attorney.
IF Trillanes WILL sign an affidavit there are two things from many of the things that might happen and will be written in our history forever. FIRST, if Trillanes is wrong, he will be sent to jail by committing perjury and libel. SECOND, if Trillanes is right, he will STILL be sent to jail because he illegally obtained the data without any court decision or the consent of the owner.
Wait, there is a THIRD scenario that is not an option that might happen or not, it is really happening now: It is not a future event that will happened but past events that had happened years ago. We should remember who failed to have mutiny and staged it on Two (2) Five-Star Hotels. The first happened on 2003 and the (hopefully) the last happened on 2007. All because of this one person.
Try to ask your self, is it OK to break the law because you're a lawmaker?
